Joie de vivre in Costa Del Sol

Taking a short break in the Costa Del Sol from UK
your flight will mostly likely land at
Malaga Airport.

HERE
is a link to Malaga Province
and
Costa Del Sol.

Malaga has more than 30 museums
 and more are opening up.

The hugely popular Picasso museum
contributed to  the city's cultural rebirth.
It has innovative restaurants with excellent Mediterranean cuisines
 to satisfy your taste buds.

The boom in tourism
has brought a spurt of trendy family shopping centres
along the Costa Del Sol.

It has excellent golf courses, world class hotels
and boasts an excellent transport network.

There are lots to keep the young occupied
at the variety of theme parks
 along the Costa Del Sol
 including the breath taking
cable car ride in Benalmadena
 the detail which is included

. . . . . and oh yes, not to forget the clean beaches, wonderful atmosphere,
and dining at the traditional beach bars & restaurants
called chiringuitos, taking in the sight & smell of the sea !

An unforgettable experience.

The  RENFE commuter train C-1  at the airport
 takes passengers to Malaga
and  to resorts along the coast down to Fuengirola the last stop.

Typical train journey along the coast

There are comfortable trains and buses to get around the province.
Taxis are plenty not to mention the wide range of car hire companies.

Walking in the historical centre of Malaga,
I soon wandered into the square at Plaza de la Constitucion.
Alot of time can be spent here just people watching!
There is always a lot going on
and it's where many events and performances are staged.
The Carmen Thyssen Museum is just down the road.
Street artists perform here
and watching this talented finger painter was mesmerizing.

Another 2 street performers in Malaga
performing in the Plaza de la Constitucion
nearly make my eyes pop out
. They are super talented and show how mind over matter can work!
They were at it for over an hour
and still retained their posture when I left.
Mind boggling stuff !

The centre of Malaga have many specialist shops
and you must really be unhurried and take your time to
                                            enjoy your shopping.

I love watching the fishermen coming in with their catches at sea.
 They work long hours.
I often see them sailing off in the evenings
to spend all night at sea and only return after sunrise.
You have to respect them.

I love the beaches of golden sands and sapphire waters
in this part of Spain the Costa del Sol. From Malaga I can  take the train to my favourite destinations at Torremolinos and Fuengirola.
Each time I return here its like I am coming home feeling. I have grown fond of the area and blend in well with the locals who I find to be friendly.

There are endless choice of hotel accommodation along the Costa del Sol from the very expensive to the
budget ones. I normally find staying half board is quite sufficient. Eating out taking in the local cuisine
especially at one of the beachside restaurants is a very enjoyable experience.

Alas, a week soon dashes past and its time to go home.
No doubt, we hope there will be another trip back
to this captivating part of the world
sooner rather than later.
The Spanish are a flamboyant and vibrant people
with so much energy as you soon learn
as you  watch them performing their flamenco
 and in their daily lives.
They love their carnivals and festivals.
Yes, they exude joie de vivre meaning
they know the joy of living,
 hearty enjoyment of life!

ok, easyJet beam us up!. . . flying out of Malaga Airport
 heading out to sea.
Adios !
